Teams Backgrounds

After working from home for months, we were asked to create backgrounds that could be used in our virtual meetings. Since these would only be seen internally, we were asked to break out of our usual brand design style and have some fun with it.

We started by working with a copywriter to come up with some lines that were a play on our company values:

Be Human. We all put our sweatpants on one leg at a time.

Think About Tomorrow. Even if you can’t remember what day it is today.

Make It Real. Just not like, too real.

Once we had copy to work with, I started exploring how much we could push our typeface by distorting certain pieces. I also wanted to explore some options that didn’t have any copy and could really just function as a background. That lead me to the geometric shapes and layered stripe options.
