Best Buy Holiday Season 2021
The 2021 Holiday campaign was the first to fully integrate the Goalification construct. The challenge was ensuring that holiday elements complemented Goalification without overpowering it. After several rounds of concepts, we landed on simple icons and light filigree elements. While these added some holiday flair, they didn’t fully carry the campaign through the season, and an additional design element was needed.
I was tasked with developing that missing element. Drawing inspiration from the filigree, I explored patterns reminiscent of wrapping paper. The resulting pattern was flexible enough to serve as a background, a horizon line, or a corner accent, making it highly adaptable across campaign assets. This pattern became the key element that tied the holiday visuals together while maintaining the integrity of the Goalification concept.
Influencer Gift Kit
During the 2021 holiday season, influencers shared posts about tech gifts from Best Buy. To ensure that the brand and holiday campaign were represented consistently, I designed the full Influencer Gift Kit. The system included wrapping paper, ribbon, packing tape, gift bags, shopping bags, and tissue paper, all featuring the holiday campaign designs. This cohesive set extended the campaign into the hands of influencers and their audiences, creating a unified and festive visual experience.
