Best Buy Goalification Style Guide

In 2021, a new copy construct called Goalification was developed for Best Buy’s TV and digital video applications. The idea is simple: a notification acknowledging the small goals we achieve every day. Internally, it’s framed as Goal + Notification = Goalification.

Once the concept was approved, the creative team developed the accompanying notification bubbles to pair with the copy. As Goalification grew in popularity, it expanded to appear across multiple channels, requiring a comprehensive style guide to ensure consistency and scalability.

I collaborated with creative directors across several teams to build the style guide, ensuring that Goalification could be applied effectively across all channels while maintaining the look, feel, and playful tone of the construct.
